Galaxy Digital has officially launched GalaxyOne, a new financial technology platform designed for individual investors in the United States. The platform blends access to crypto, equities, and cash management in a single application, reflecting Galaxy’s broader push to merge institutional-grade finance with retail accessibility.

The company’s announcement highlights its goal to simplify investing for individuals who seek both traditional and digital exposure. By offering features like crypto trading, stock brokerage, and high-yield accounts, all within one app, Galaxy aims to deliver a unified financial experience for modern investors.

A Unified Platform for Cash, Crypto, and Equities

GalaxyOne introduces four core products: high-yield cash deposits, premium yield investment notes, crypto trading, and stock brokerage. The app enables users to earn up to 8.00% Annual Percentage Yield (APY) through Galaxy Premium Yield, a structured investment note for accredited investors. For all other users, the platform provides 4.00% APY on cash deposits via GalaxyOne Cash, with the option to automatically reinvest earned interest into Bitcoin or other supported cryptocurrencies.

According to Galaxy, banking services are provided by Cross River Bank, ensuring FDIC insurance up to $250,000 for eligible accounts. The 8% yield, meanwhile, is powered by Galaxy’s institutional lending desk, which has operated since 2018. Interest from these products accrues daily and is paid monthly into the user’s GalaxyOne Cash account.

In addition to its yield products, GalaxyOne Crypto allows users to buy, hold, and trade digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and Paxos Gold (PAXG). The GalaxyOne Brokerage section provides commission-free trading for over 2,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, including fractional shares and retirement accounts. Investors can also earn passive income through the Stock Lending Program, which enables lending of eligible shares to generate additional returns.

Backed by Galaxy’s Institutional Expertise

The new platform builds upon Galaxy’s established financial infrastructure and risk management systems. Founder and CEO Mike Novogratz stated that GalaxyOne represents the next phase of the company’s evolution, extending the same institutional-quality tools that have long served professional investors to individual users.

Galaxy’s $1.1 billion lending business supports the yield offered on the platform. The company emphasized that returns are generated from its lending operations rather than short-term or promotional rates, underscoring a sustainable model based on its balance sheet strength.

From Fierce to GalaxyOne: A Strategic Evolution

GalaxyOne originated from Fierce, a mobile finance startup that Galaxy acquired in late 2024 for approximately $12.5 million. The acquisition included Fierce’s original development team, led by former CEO Rob Cornish, who now serves as Galaxy’s Chief Technology Officer.

Under Galaxy’s ownership, the platform was reengineered to align with the firm’s digital asset expertise and financial capabilities. Zac Prince, Managing Director at Galaxy and head of GalaxyOne, described the platform as a response to the fragmented experience faced by everyday investors.

“Investors have been offered platforms that promise integration but deliver silos”, Prince noted. “GalaxyOne was built to change that”.

The app’s design allows for seamless interaction between yield, trading, and reinvestment features. Users can transition between cash, crypto, and equities without leaving the platform, creating what Galaxy calls a “precision-built” experience for individual investors.

Competing in the Retail Investment Landscape

GalaxyOne’s launch positions Galaxy Digital directly against retail trading leaders such as Robinhood, eToro, and Cash App, platforms that already offer mixed asset exposure. However, Galaxy’s offering differentiates itself by combining institutional-grade yield generation with an integrated trading experience.

The platform is now available on iOS, Android, and web, with plans to expand its product suite to include business accounts, staking features, and new lending options in future updates.

Looking Ahead

With Galaxy Launches GalaxyOne, the company marks a significant step in bridging the gap between institutional and retail finance. The app provides a single environment for yield generation, crypto trading, and stock investment, anchored by Galaxy’s established financial infrastructure. As the firm expands its footprint in the retail market, GalaxyOne could redefine how investors manage both digital and traditional assets within one trusted ecosystem.
